• App Preferences: Local settings such as whether the App Lock (Biometric) is enabled are stored on your device using SharedPreferences.
• Biometric Data: Our app uses your device's native biometric sensors (Fingerprint/Face ID) for secure access. We do not collect, store, or have access to your actual biometric templates. All biometric authentication is handled by the operating system of your device.
• Version Information: We may access your app version and build number to ensure compatibility and provide updates.

• To provide, operate, and maintain the application's core features (Tracking & Budgeting).
• To personalize your experience (e.g., displaying your profile name/picture).
• To secure your financial records through user authentication and optional biometric locks.

3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services

We utilize industry-standard services to handle your data securely:

• Google Firebase: Your authentication details (Google Login) and financial records (Transactions/Budgets) are securely stored in Google's Firebase Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication systems.
• Local Storage: Minor settings (like App Lock status) are stored locally on your device and are not shared with any external servers.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to outside parties for marketing purposes.

4. Security of Your Data

The security of your financial information is our top priority. We implement several layers of protection:

• Cloud Security: We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure that only you can access your own data.
• App Lock: You can enable a biometric lock within the app settings for an extra layer of local security.
• Encryption: Data transmitted between the app and Firebase servers is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

5. Your Rights and Control

You have full control over your data within Xpense Tracker:

• Access & Edit: You can view and modify your transactions and budgets at any time.
• Sign Out: You can sign out of the app to clear your current session.
