1. Who We Are
Jeev Sathi is an application for animal welfare and emergency support. It allows users to sign in, report injured or distressed animals, share rescue details with Gau Sevaks and doctors, register as a volunteer or veterinary doctor, save emergency contacts, send women safety SOS messages, and access donation links.
In this policy, "Jeev Sathi", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Jeev Sathi app. "You" and "your" refer to the person using the app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information created while you use the app, and information received from service providers used by the app.
2.1 Account and Sign-In Information
The app uses Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In. When you sign in with Google, the app may receive and store:
- Your Firebase user ID.
- Your Google account display name.
- Your email address.
- Your Google profile photo URL, if available.
- Your phone number if available from your authentication profile or entered by you later.
- Account timestamps such as created date, updated date, and last login date.
- Role flags such as whether you are registered as a Gau Sevak or doctor.
2.2 Profile Information
If you edit your profile, we may collect and store:
- Full name or display name.
- Mobile number.
- District.
- Village or address.
- Short bio or description about yourself.
2.3 Gau Sevak Registration Information
If you register as a Gau Sevak or volunteer, we may collect and store:
- Name.
- District.
- Village.
- Mobile number.
- Selected skills, such as first aid, transport, cow care, rescue, nursing, awareness, or fundraising.
- Emergency availability status.
- Registration timestamp.
Some Gau Sevak details may be visible inside the app to other users so they can contact volunteers for animal rescue support.
2.4 Doctor Registration Information
If you register as a veterinary doctor, we may collect and store:
- Doctor name.
- Specialization, degree, or qualification.
- Years of experience.
- Contact number.
- Clinic, hospital, or practice address.
- Emergency support availability status.
- Registration timestamp.
2.5 Animal Rescue SOS Reports
When you create an animal rescue SOS report, we may collect and store:
- Animal type, such as cow, dog, cat, bird, buffalo, or other.
- Description entered by you.
- Location coordinates if you add or allow location for the report.
- A default approximate location if a live location is not provided by the app flow.
- Photo uploaded from your camera or gallery, if you choose to attach one.
- Report status, such as active, in progress, or resolved.
- Report ID and creation timestamp.
- Reporter user ID and reporter display name, or anonymous labels where applicable.
SOS reports may be visible to other users, Gau Sevaks, and doctors in the app so that rescue work can be coordinated.
2.6 Photos and Media
If you choose to upload a photo for an animal rescue report, the app may access your camera or photo gallery. Uploaded photos are sent to Cloudinary for image hosting, and the resulting secure image URL is stored with the SOS report.
You should avoid uploading photos that contain sensitive personal information, private documents, bystanders who have not consented, vehicle number plates, home interiors, or any other unnecessary identifying information.
2.7 Location Information
The app may request access to your device location for animal rescue reports and women safety SOS alerts. Depending on the feature you use, the app may process:
- Current GPS latitude and longitude.
- Last known device location if current location is not available.
- A Google Maps link generated from your coordinates.
Location is requested when needed for app features. You can deny location permission, disable location services, or change permissions through your device settings. Some rescue and emergency features may be less accurate without location.
2.8 Women Safety SOS and Emergency Contact Information
If you configure the women safety SOS feature, we may collect and store:
- Names and mobile numbers for parent, guardian, friend, or other emergency contacts.
- Your custom emergency message.
- Your preference for whether live location should be included in SOS messages.
When you trigger the women safety SOS feature, the app may use your device to send SMS messages to the emergency contacts you saved. If location sharing is enabled and permission is granted, the SMS may include your current coordinates and a Google Maps link. SMS messages are sent from your device or opened in your SMS app, so your mobile carrier and SMS app may process those messages according to their own policies.
2.9 Donation Information
The app provides donation options through UPI and Razorpay links. When you choose to donate, you may leave the app or open another payment application or webpage. We may display or copy a UPI ID and open external payment links.
Jeev Sathi does not directly process card numbers, bank account credentials, UPI PINs, payment passwords, or full payment instrument details inside the app. Payment providers, banks, UPI apps, and Razorpay may collect and process payment information under their own privacy policies and terms.
2.10 Device, App, and Technical Information
The app and its service providers may process technical information needed to operate, secure, and debug the service, such as:
- Device type, operating system, and app version.
- Firebase authentication identifiers.
- Network request information such as IP address, timestamps, and service logs.
- Error details or diagnostic information if a service request fails.
The current app does not include advertising SDKs or a separate in-app analytics SDK. However, Firebase, Google, Cloudinary, payment providers, mobile operating systems, and app stores may collect technical logs as part of their services.
3. App Permissions

4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- To create and maintain your app account.
- To authenticate you through Google and Firebase.
- To show your profile and keep your profile details updated.
- To create, display, update, resolve, and delete animal rescue SOS reports.
- To help users, Gau Sevaks, and doctors coordinate animal rescue support.
- To show recent and trending rescue reports inside the app.
- To display a Gau Sevak directory and allow users to contact volunteers.
- To register, update, or remove Gau Sevak and doctor profiles.
- To send women safety SOS messages to emergency contacts selected by you.
- To include location in rescue reports or emergency messages when you permit it.
- To upload, display, and delete rescue report images.
- To open donation links, UPI payment apps, Razorpay pages, email, SMS, share, and map services.
- To respond to support requests, feedback, or privacy requests.
- To protect the app, prevent misuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain app security.
5. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may share or make information available in the following ways:
5.1 With Other App Users
- Animal rescue SOS reports may be visible to users of the app, including report details, photos, location coordinates, status, reporter name, and timestamps.
- Gau Sevak directory information, such as name, district, village, skills, phone number, and availability, may be visible to users so that they can request rescue assistance.
- Doctors and Gau Sevaks may view SOS reports to support rescue coordination.
5.2 With Your Emergency Contacts
When you trigger the women safety SOS feature, your saved contacts may receive your emergency message, sender name, and location link if location is enabled and available.
5.3 With Service Providers
We use third-party services to operate the app. These services may process data as needed to provide their functionality:
- Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication for account sign-in.
- Cloud Firestore for storing user profiles, registrations, emergency contact settings, and SOS reports.
- Cloudinary for image upload, hosting, and image deletion where configured.
- Google Maps links for navigation and location viewing.
- Razorpay, UPI apps, banks, and payment services for donation flows.
- Email, SMS, phone, browser, and share applications installed on your device when you choose to use those actions.
5.4 For Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, animals, volunteers, doctors, the public, or the app.
6. Public and Sensitive Content
Rescue reports and volunteer contact details can involve public or semi-public sharing inside the app. Please use care when submitting information. Do not submit content that is unnecessary for rescue coordination, unlawful, abusive, misleading, or invasive of another person's privacy.
Because SOS reports may include precise location and photos, you should only submit accurate information and only include media that is relevant to the rescue situation.
7. Data Storage and Security
App data is stored using Firebase services and uploaded media is stored using Cloudinary. These services use their own technical, organizational, and security measures to protect data. We also rely on platform-level protections provided by Android, iOS, Google, Firebase, Cloudinary, and other service providers.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we aim to collect only information needed for the app features and to use service providers that support secure data handling.
You are responsible for keeping your Google account, device lock, SMS app, payment apps, and email account secure. If someone else can access your device or account, they may be able to access your Jeev Sathi data or trigger app actions.
8. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain rescue coordination records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent misuse, and operate our services.
- Account and profile data is generally kept while your account remains active.
- Gau Sevak and doctor registration records are kept while your registration remains active.
- Emergency contact settings are kept until you update them or delete your account.
- SOS reports may remain available for rescue history, coordination, safety, and accountability unless deleted by an authorized user or administrator.
- Uploaded images may remain hosted while the related report exists, unless deleted through the app or removed by an authorized administrator.
- Payment records are primarily retained by the relevant payment provider, bank, or UPI app under their own policies.
9. Your Choices and Controls
9.1 Account and Profile
You can edit your profile in the app. You can update your name, mobile number, district, village or address, and bio. Your email address is controlled through your sign-in provider and may not be editable inside the app.
9.2 Role Registrations
You can update or delete your Gau Sevak registration and doctor registration from the relevant registration screens. Removing a role registration deletes the related role record and updates your user profile role flag.
9.3 Emergency Contacts
You can update your emergency contact names, phone numbers, emergency message, and location-inclusion preference in the emergency SOS setup screen.
9.4 Location Permission
You can allow or deny location permission when prompted. You can also change location permission at any time in your device settings. If location is disabled, animal rescue reports and women safety SOS messages may not include accurate location.
9.5 Photos
You choose whether to attach photos to animal rescue reports. You can choose camera or gallery only when you want to add a photo.
9.6 SMS
On Android, you can allow or deny SMS permission. Without SMS permission, the app may not be able to send emergency SMS messages directly and may instead open the SMS app where available.
9.7 Account Deletion
The app includes an account deletion option in Settings. When you delete your account through the app, the app attempts to delete your user profile record from Firestore, sign you out of Google, and delete your Firebase Authentication account.
Some data may not be automatically removed by that account deletion flow, including SOS reports, report photos, role records that were not deleted separately, provider logs, backups, payment provider records, SMS records on recipient devices, and information that must be retained for legal, security, safety, or operational reasons. 10. Children and Minors
Jeev Sathi is not intended for unsupervised use by young children. If you are a minor, use the app only with permission and guidance from a parent or guardian, especially when sharing location, phone numbers, photos, emergency contact details, or donation/payment information.
Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent may contact us to request review or deletion.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The app may open third-party services, including Google sign-in pages, Google Maps, Cloudinary-hosted images, Razorpay donation pages, UPI applications, SMS apps, email apps, browsers, and share sheets. These services are not controlled by Jeev Sathi. Their privacy policies and terms govern how they collect and use your information.
You should review the privacy policies of any third-party service before submitting payment information, sending messages, uploading media, or sharing personal information through that service.
12. International Processing
Firebase, Google, Cloudinary, Razorpay, payment providers, and other technology services may process and store information on servers located in India or other countries. By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed outside your city, state, or country, subject to applicable laws and the service providers' policies.
13. Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, including rescue report details, locations, contact numbers, doctor details, Gau Sevak details, and emergency contacts. Incorrect information may delay rescue or emergency response.
If you see incorrect, harmful, outdated, or privacy-invasive information in the app, please contact us and provide enough detail for us to review it.
14. Prohibited Use
You must not use the app to submit false reports, harass people, expose someone's private information without a valid rescue or safety reason, upload unlawful content, misuse volunteer or doctor contact numbers, interfere with emergency response, or attempt to access data that you are not authorized to access.
We may restrict access, remove content, or take other action if we believe the app is being misused.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, services, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we update the policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after a policy update means you accept the updated policy.

18. Terms & Conditions (T&C)
By registering, signing in, or using the Jeev Sathi App, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions across our platforms and services:
18.1 JeevSathi – Gau Sevak Registration Terms & Conditions
- I confirm that all the information provided by me is true and accurate.
- I will treat all animals with care, compassion, and respect and will not engage in any form of animal cruelty.
- I will submit only genuine and verified rescue reports through the JeevSathi App.
- Any fake report, false information, misuse of the platform, or misleading activity may result in suspension or permanent termination of my account.
- I understand that my safety is my own responsibility while participating in any rescue or volunteer activity.
- Reward Points, Badges, Certificates, ID Cards, and other benefits are subject to verification and may be modified or withdrawn by JeevSathi at any time.
- My registration will become active only after approval by the JeevSathi Administration.
- JeevSathi reserves the right to reject, suspend, or terminate my registration without prior notice if I violate any rules or policies.
- I understand that I must verify the SOS request before taking any action. Any rescue or volunteer activity is performed entirely at my own risk. JeevSathi and Sinux India Foundation shall not be responsible for any accident, injury, death, loss, damage, legal dispute, or any other unforeseen incident that may occur during or after responding to an SOS or participating in any activity through the App.
- I agree to follow all Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy of the JeevSathi App.
18.2 JeevSathi – User (SOS Reporter) Terms & Conditions
- I confirm that all information provided by me is true and accurate.
- I will use the SOS feature only for genuine emergencies involving injured, sick, abandoned, or distressed animals.
- I will not submit fake, misleading, duplicate, or false SOS reports.
- Repeated false reports may result in suspension or permanent termination of my account.
- I agree to upload clear photos, videos, and the correct location whenever possible.
- I understand that submitting an SOS request does not guarantee immediate rescue, as response time depends on volunteer and resource availability.
- I will not misuse the platform for harassment, spam, illegal activities, or personal disputes.
- JeevSathi reserves the right to review, reject, suspend, or remove any SOS request or user account that violates these Terms & Conditions.
- I understand that I should provide accurate information and that volunteers or doctors will verify the SOS before taking action. JeevSathi and Sinux India Foundation are not responsible for any delay, accident, injury, death, loss, damage, legal dispute, or any unforeseen incident that may occur during or after any rescue or emergency response.
- I agree to comply with the JeevSathi Privacy Policy and all applicable laws.
18.3 JeevSathi – Doctor Registration Terms & Conditions
- I confirm that I am a qualified Veterinary Doctor/Animal Health Professional and all information provided by me is true.
- I agree to upload valid professional documents for verification.
- My profile will be activated only after successful verification by the JeevSathi Administration.
- I will provide professional advice only within my area of expertise.
- Online advice provided through the app should not be considered a substitute for a physical examination or emergency veterinary treatment.
- I will maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all user and patient information.
- Any false information, fake documents, or unethical conduct may lead to immediate suspension or permanent removal of my account.
- JeevSathi reserves the right to review, suspend, or terminate my account at any time if any policy is violated.
- I understand that I must verify the SOS request before taking any action. Any medical advice, rescue participation, or emergency response is provided at my own professional judgment and risk. JeevSathi and Sinux India Foundation shall not be responsible for any accident, injury, death, loss, damage, legal dispute, or any unforeseen incident arising during or after such activities.
- I agree to comply with all JeevSathi Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
18.4 JEEVSATHI – WOMEN SAFETY TERMS & CONDITIONS
- I confirm that all the information provided by me is true and accurate.
- I will use the Women Safety SOS feature only in genuine emergency situations.
- I will not misuse the SOS button by sending false, fake, or misleading emergency alerts.
- I understand that repeated misuse of the SOS feature may result in suspension or permanent termination of my account.
- I agree to keep my emergency contact details updated and accurate.
- I understand that the SOS feature shares my live location and emergency details with my selected emergency contacts and, where applicable, authorized JeevSathi volunteers for safety purposes.
- I understand that JeevSathi is a technology platform and does not guarantee immediate assistance, police response, medical support, or rescue services.
- I understand that any emergency response depends on the availability of volunteers, emergency contacts, and local authorities.
- JeevSathi and Sinux India Foundation shall not be responsible for any delay, accident, injury, death, loss, damage, legal dispute, or any unforeseen incident that may occur during or after the use of the Women Safety feature.
- I agree to comply with all JeevSathi Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and applicable laws.
